Outside of Pixar the best Disney sequel is The Rescuers Down Under. Its also the only Disney sequel better than its predessesor.

If you count Pixar the Toy Story sequels which got progressively better with each instalment

Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco I actually really like Tron Legacy and Toy Story 3 as well. Most of the time their sequels are rather hit and miss.

I never really bothered with any of the sequels because frankly I didn't really see where they could go after original releases. Put that together with the fact of how many years later sequels started to pop up pretty much gave me the impression that they were never going to be anygood.
I did see The Rescuers Downunder which I thought wasn't too bad.

By rule they're just about all garbage. And you can just tell that by reading story blurbs about them. But I remember looking forward to--and enjoying (a lot)--Return of Jafar as a kid, even though Aladdin is better.. And as DeLarge mentioned earlier, The Rescuers Down Under is not only decent, I remember enjoying it more than the original as well.

Not counting Fantasia 2000, and keeping the list only to the DTVidquels (which I'm guessing was meant to be the "novelty" of the post in the first place)

- Tinker Bell & the Great Fairy Rescue
- Atlantis II: Milo's Return
- Aladdin & the King of Thieves (technically a TV finale, but sold as a "sequel")
- Cinderella 3
- Mulan II

(And while Rescuers Down Under had an opening that even the animators still admire, I remember seeing it in the theater, and never had I seen a bigger aggregated 75-minute pile of nothing onscreen. )

Yeah if this means Disney/Pixar I don't think anything else is even in the ballpark with Toy Story 2.

(It's probably 3:
2 was the TV-cartoon pilot, and 3 was the cruise-ship stage show, to apologize for 2.)

I also liked Tron: Legacy.

Would Fantasia 2000 count as a sequel? I really enjoy the Firebird and Pines of Rome sequences in that

That doesn't count. Disney shouldn't take Pixar's credit.
