2D only? That's so...illogical. Fox has been good about putting the X-Men films in 3D, why would they not have this one in 3D? So weird...

I would've preferred Deadpool also be offered in 3D and 2D as well.
The budget on Deadpool was lower from what I read, so they had limited resources. Have we seen any R rated 3D movies in theaters recently? My Bloody Valentine, Final Destination 3D, Dredd 3D. What else? |

Maybe because they blew the budget on the Fantastic Four reshoots.
I'm fine with 2D for now. If they're so compelled, they can convert it for Blu-ray later. |

It is now officially rated R.
http:// http://www.slashfilm.com/deadpool-rated-r/ All the marketing for Deadpool so far has made it abundantly clear that this isn’t your typical PG-13, fun-for-the-whole-family superhero adventure. There are dick jokes, poop jokes, exploding heads, and oh so many f-bombs. But just in case you’re still worried 20th Century Fox will try to rein in the Merc with a Mouth, let this news put your mind at ease: Deadpool now officially has an R-rating from the MPAA. As reported on Box Office Mojo, Deadpool has been rated R for “strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity.” Which sounds about right, if you’ve seen the red-band trailers. There’s plenty of brutal violence, resulting in actual bloodshed. (As opposed to the oddly bloodless violence of most PG-13 action movies.) Deadpool says “****” more times in the two-minute red-band trailer than most superheroes get to over the course of their entire franchise. The promos have also featured a scene set in a strip club, and a rather athletic-looking love scene with Wade and Vanessa. Although Deadpool isn’t the first superhero movie to be rated R, the vast majority of these films aim for, and get, PG-13 ratings. They’re expensive projects with potential four-quadrant appeal, and an R-rating would just handicap their box office potential. But Deadpool himself is unlike most superheroes. Fans love him for his sarcastic, unfiltered, totes inappropes sense of humor, and were none too pleased when X-Men Origins: Wolverine literally sealed his mouth shut. Even so, it took some convincing to get the studio on board with Deadpool‘s projected R rating. “At first it was R, then PG, then R again,” director Tim Miller revealed at Comic-Con. “But ultimately, I think they saw that the world is ready for something different.” Star Ryan Reynolds remarked, “I think it’s an actual miracle the studio let us make Deadpool, let alone a rated-R Deadpool.” And while there’s more to Deadpool (and hopefully Deadpool) than sex, violence, and curse words, the freedom to use all three liberally has allowed the filmmakers to make what Reynolds (while admitting his own bias) described as “the most faithful adaptation of a superhero from a comic to a movie I’ve ever seen.” |

Thanks. Still wish this was in 3D.
Aside from all of the cursing, I hope the action delivers, as they didn't show too much of it in the trailers, but from what I saw, it looks promising. I'll definitely check this one out in theaters. I'll have to watch Blade Trinity again, and Wolverine also, to remind myself of the style of humor Ryan Reynolds will likely deliver in Deadpool. The costume looks cool. |

I just put in for my ticket though I probably should have flipped on when to see it. I wanted it to be during a work day to take a half day and I don't want to give ANYONE the chance to say a thing to me about Deadpool movie until I see it myself. So Naturally I should be seeing it Thursday but since Monday the 15th is my day before my days off I decided to just take a half day on Monday. But Gosh i'm going to be impatient to see this film... But I've already purchased my ticket. |

http://movieweb.com/wolverine-3-rated-r/ It's supposed to be the final movie with Hugh Jackman starring as Wolverine, but don't they always say that? A lot of that noise before has always been closely followed by contract/negotiation talk so who knows. In my opinion no one else can touch Jackman's Wolverine. I don't care how old he is - as long as you can dye the guys hair black and he isn't as wrinkled as Ian McKellen - he NEEDS to be Wolverine because he IS Wolverine. Age shouldn't be the only factor here, because Wolverine isn't like Spider-Man where actors can age out so easily. In the comics the original Wolverine is nearly a century old or more if I recall. And since they killed that Wolverine off, the current continuity is going with Old Man Logan from an alternate timeline in all their books anyway after the latest crossover event. An article I read said it could be based on Old Man Logan which fans would love, but based on what Jackman has said I don't know. Quote:
