They have just switchered ASINs from ASINs the BD and 4K previously had to another new BD and 4K ASINs.

Please note that the prices seem reversed (4K $30, Blu $35) and both Amazon listings say only The Substance and is on the format description that you can see 4K on one.

Since it's a blind buy and with an $8 difference, I may go for the Blu-ray.

Picked this up at Wal-Mart today along with the new Venom since this was cheaper than the average day one Blu-ray. Now the photo makes it look like this would come in a Criterion-style case, but I noticed the one I got is in a regular VIVA case with a slipcover. What does everyone else's copies look like?

Damn. Looking on eBay it looks like both the BD and 4K use regular cases. I liked those Criterion cases Mubi was using. Oh well. Mine is out for delivery, but it will be the same case as yours.

Damn, I liked their other cases too. But I guess if this is cheaper and it gets them to release more of their movies then that would be a net positive...

Flabbergasted to see Walmart carrying this in store but super happy. Just placed a pickup order for the 4K.

SDS is handling the home release for MUBI hence the black VIVA case versus the Criterion style case.

Curious if the 4K is worth an extra $8? Leaning towards saving some money and going with the blu ray.

The Blu got a 5/5 on here but the 4K also got a 5/5 and said the Dolby Vision HDR adds more to the color palette.

Was wondering if any Substance releases included the digital version as well. I am kind of seeing studios getting away from including this.

I saw this movie in a second run theatre, I didn't really like it all that much maybe 2/4, that being said it had a lot to say about youth and body image. I saw it about 4 months ago and still think about it, so I guess you could say it left a mark.
