Pardon me if this looks off-topic...
These screenshots from Dabangg-2 looks yellowish...just like BluRay of English-Vinglish. I have English-Vinglish from Zee Cinema HD stored in my HD-DVR and that version too looks yellowish. Similarly, lots of night scenes in GOW movies were yellowish. I have Bluary of Barfi, Swades, Jodha Akbar, Black and Pyaar Ka Punchnaama as well, those movies don't have this problem. Has there something gone wrong with Bluray making process for Indian films ? |

As for this, it wasn't as good as the first one. However, it was as similarly bad as JTHJ in comparision to VZ. |

My guess is that they were trying to emulate the look of the 80's masala films which also suffered from these same issues, mainly due to a) film-makers not really interested in the craft b) Having paranoia about whether the film was bright enough to be screened in the small town centers with poor projection facilities.

Dabangg 2 actually had 7.1 surround sound, but didn't got one on BD.
Whereas Housefull 2 (Eros) & Ek tha tiger BD had 7.1 surround option in BD. The following is the list of the movies which had 7.1 surround sound. Most of them were released on BD with 5.1 DTS-HD audio (wondering why) http://www.dolby.com/in/en/consumer/...-1-movies.html Last edited by amit5500; 03-11-2013 at 11:36 AM. |

I Think the Indian Home Video Companies are just making a fool of us by not providing the original lossless track , instead (I suspect) they are just converting it from a regular Dolby Digital 5.1 track . Most of the times i can't even differentiate between both the tracks in these BDs. DTS HD-MA and Dolby Digital tracks sound almost the same in them! I Never knew so many Indian Movies are mixed in 7.1 , not even 1 made it to BD , even Housefull 2 (i've heard) is not true 7.1 and has issues with the audio track. Apart from this there are N Number of Indian movies mixed in 6.1 in the past few years out of which none of them had 6.1 Audio track in the BD's. Jodha Akbar's Bodega BD had a 6.1 track but the indian version had 5.1! Sunny , Mr chandna would you like to throw some light on this topik? |
