I couldn't find a thread for this one. I saw this yesterday and thought it was one of the most boring films I have ever seen in my life.
Basically, Kingsley's character transfers his consciousness and being into Reynold's character's body. He doesn't realize that he has to become dependent on a drug that alludes to an insidious aspect of the body switching program; the drug is taken to keep the consciousness of the old body from creeping back and taking over. I thought the concept fell apart from the get-go because Kingsley's character would have to be really stupid to not realize that the bodies were of actual, once-living people, rather than lab grown. Also, I am pretty sure that Reynold's character gave his body up willingly, so I'm not sure why the program was suggested as an evil one that would go out of its way to kidnap people. The acting from the wife was also absolutely atrocious. I have never seen such overacting in my life. |
