I'm not entirely sure how the Disney's vault works and how long a film stays inside. Lion King is definitely a film I'd like to own, but I don't really want to pay the price that it is at now. Should I wait or buy it now?

The price on Amazon right now isn't bad at all. You can still get the BD/DVD pack for 20 bucks. Definitely buy it now. It will only go up in price and won't be back for several years.

It used to be that movies spent ~7 years in the vault. I'm sure that's not an exact science and it's been more random than that, but when they pull something out of circulation, it's usually gone for a while.
Especially with the future of physical media being an open question, I wouldn't hesitate, especially if you can find it for ~$20. That's about what it was when it first came out. It'll only go higher in the coming years. |

Or wait till its OOP and in the vault and pay around $45 on EBay when you decide that you REALLY need to own it.
It's worth the price, I've yet to see Disney Animated films drop too much, even used DVD's still fetch a premium. |
