Default Hello Everyone!

Well I am a new owner of a blu-ray player! I just wanted to say thanks to all of you here as i have enjoyed reading up on the High def issue and found this website to be an invaluable asset. I currently work for a major electronics retailer (Circuit City) in home entertainment sales, and in all honesty the whole time I have worked there I have never sold an HD-DVD player, nor have I seen any other sales rep sell one. Most people don't even know there are new formats available, but those who do consistently ask about blu-ray. Honestly the selection is better, not only with movies but with players as well, really who buys Toshiba crap anyways? I did once, learned my lesson, never will again. Any recommendations for movies?

I am partial to just about anything The first thing I check when I look at a movie is the rating though. I don't watch anything rated 'R'. Pirates was downright amazing, is there any way to tell what movies were filmed in high def? BTW talked my dad into getting one of the 40 gig ps3's

I bought a Toshiba DVD player back when DVD players were first coming out and it only lasted about 3 months and just quit working..the disc loader died first then the rest went to hell... geez never thought that they would be in a high def format war years later..

you watch potc huh? aren't those movies rated ''argh'' hahaha oh my god i'm tired.

potc 1,2, and soon enough 3 are great, casino royale, the spidey trilogy, untouchables if you can get it, warriors if you can get it, black hawk down, kingdom of heaven, I love planet earth even if it does get the starved bitrates from wb's hd transfers, ghost rider, fantastic four: rise of silver surfer, the day after tomorrow all of these are awesome transfers.

Welcome my fellow bro. I would recommend you pick up the spidey trilogy, POTC TRILOGY, and some more pixar movies such as Ratatouille, and cars. There are a lot of good movies out there available on BD i just don't know where to begin.
