Japan New Warner Japan Steelbook Wave - 6/5/13

I decided to created a central discussion thread for the new Warner Japan Steelbook wave coming out 6/5/13. Some of the designs are new, while others we've seen quite a few times already. Feel free to use the individual threads if you want (or if the mods decide so) but I think it's more convenient to have the entire wave all in one spot, just like there's compilation threads for the other Warner waves from other regions.

300

Amadeus

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

District 9

The Goonies

Green Lantern

Sucker Punch

The Last Samurai

Troy

V for Vendetta

When did District 9 become a Warner Bros film?

Warner has distribution rights for it in Japan.

I'll agree on the V for Vendetta coverart. But why does Warner keep re hashing ther same titles over and over again? The prices are reasonable for amazon.jp though.

I do like the V for Vendetta one, but I like the Canadian version myself.

I also think I have to slow down my spending for Steelbooks. I went overboard the last two months.

I haven't heard of Japan releasing G1 sized Blu-ray steelbooks. Then again, I've only noticed their steelbooks over the last 2 years.

When I logged in and saw new Warner Japan Steelbook Wave and The Dark Knight Rises amazon.jp steelbook at the top of the forum I hoped that a new Bane White release had been announced. Alas just a dose of big fat disappointment

After getting all the Warner Premier Collection SB's from Amazon UK, during the sale(except Heat damn you Amazon ), and the Best Buy sale on WB SB's I think I'm good. I hope they offer up some new titles though!

Amadeus miiight just be good enough to replace my digibook with (though I echo people's wish for the theatrical cut). And I've always wanted the HMV District 9 steelbook (now rare and expensive) - this looks virtually the same so I'm in for that to replace my amaray!

A couple of those are pretty cool, especially the Amadeus one catches my eye (my digibook came all screwed up to hell from Amazon, so I've long been thinking of putting that one in a replacement case anyway). What's the cheapest way to get these from Japan? Usually Japan imports seem to be insanely expensive so I don't really bother looking at them...

According to current currency translator 2205 yen is roughly $24.72. Obviously shipping a single item from Japan would be hella expensive, but still it's kind of hard to justify over $40.

Hopefully a place like YesAsia (whom I've ordered from before) has it for a somewhat reasonable amount. ($30-40). I've seen some Japan steelbooks on ebay for like $100, and there's nothing at all special about them from what I can tell. So it's kind of baffling why they are so expensive.

Shipping from AZ.jp starts @ ~ $25-30 as I recall, but thankfully only goes up a few $ per item after that
When I ordered my whites last year I think the shipping broke down ~ $35 for 5
The problem is that you can only order 1 of each title
At least they release them in waves for us

Double-dips on V & 300 are no-brainers for me
Nice to see Charlie & Goonies Steels, too

Yep, ordering 5 would make your shipping ~ $36 and the SteelBooks overall ~ $30 each shipped
...not too bad IMO

Oh, tack on a few extra $ if you have to let AZ.jp convert the currency from yen to $ for you
