how many controllers do you have? - Blu-ray Forum

with a lot of HT equipement it seems the controllers start to pile up. i have 2 "universal" remotes (the ones that came with my cable box, and my receiver) and my ps3 remote. both universal remotes work all of the equipement, except the ps3, but they can't control all the functions. my parents don't like multi function remotes. so they just have 5 controllers, tv, receiver, cable box, ps3, and stereo (which i've told them they don't need since the ps3 plays their cds through their surround system).

so how many do you have? and what are they? i'm hoping to simplify eventually. but there are higher priorities.

lets see if i can get this while poll thing to work.

5 controllers here..

1 for PS3
1 for A/V receiver
1 for satellite receiver
1 for old DVD player
1 for CD system

5 - monitor, external HDTV tuner, DVD/VHS recorder/player, PS3, HD-A20

Actually, it's 6 since I also have a universal remote but I keep all the others around since some functions are easier/quicker to get to on the dedicated remotes.

I voted 5 though since I initially forgot about the universal.

Do you just mean how many do I use? I have a drawer full of remotes, but I only use one remote, the Univerisal MX-3000. Of course, being lazy, it may take me a few weeks to add a new layout for the newest piece of equipment I buy.

I was good with the Onkyo 805 I bought last week, and had it done within a few days.

I have a logitech Harmony 1000 that i use for almost everything , but it doesn't help with the PS3 so im stuck a 2 remotes .

Well I have 9 going on 10 when I buy a standalone BD player but I use 3 currently.

Using:
1 PS3
1 Denon Reciever - also controlling 2 dvd players, vcr, tv & cable with it
1 DVDO video processor/scaler

Owned:
1 air conditioner (recently stored for the season)
1 Oppo region free dvd player
1 Denon dvd player
1 cable remote
1 Sony Bravia remote
1 sony vcr
