even if they went to blu only , would'nt they still want to get rid of whatever HD stock they have?

So they finally admitted HD-DVD is not a valid format. About 2 years too late, but better late than never I guess.

From what I hear ever since they fired Nickerson they were going Blu-Ray only. If that is true they have been taking the necessary steps over the last couple of months to ensure they don't have a stock pile of HD-DVD's sitting in their warehouse.

Yes...but they wouldn't stop selling them and still have them on their website.

Yes they would..Warner directly would not sell HD-DVD's on their website if tomorrow they announce they are Blu-Ray exclusive. They would have shipped and still ship any remaining HD-DVD stock to other retailers. You could still buy the remaining Warner HD-DVD's from retailers just like you can still get some paramount titles on Blu-Ray at retailers.

I just got this E-mail from Warner:

Quote:
Thank you for your recent order. The items listed below have not shipped and are currently on back order:

QTY Item
1 Twister (BD)
Blu-Ray
Price $14.96 (Savings $4.99)
1 Led Zeppelin: Song Remains the Same, The (BD)
Blu-Ray
Price $14.96 (Savings $4.99)

We expect to ship within the next thirty (30) days. It is quite possible that we could ship earlier.
Neither is due out, Zepp in Dec, Twister in Jan. I think they may have issues with their system.

Better late than never my a$$!!! Warner has still not realized that people want uncompressed audio on their HD releases..... until they get that, then they are still a little late!

Maybe they have run out of that title.

Even if they go Blu now, and I don't think it'll happen until after the new year begins, they will still sell their stock of duds out like Paramoron did.
