Movies with incredible opening scenes - Blu-ray Forum

Last night I watched Quantum of Solace again and have to say that was one of the most enjoyable opening scenes of a movie that I can recall.
What would be some movies where the opening scene(s) blew you away where you were hooked in the first minute or two? Use spoiler tags for your description if you decide to expand on your reasons.

I thought Scream '96 had a great opening scene with Drew Barrymore. I saw this at theaters and was ready for a pretty cool movie. Then it began after she died and I thought the movie was pure and utter garbola, but worse.

Bought the Shining only for this scene:

Don't much like the movie,but the opening is a classic.

I agree the opening Scene in QoS is awesome, but I prefer the title sequence/opening credits of Casino Royale. That and the opening credits of Watchmen.

I always thought the opening of Raiders of the Lost Ark was the most amazing opening ever. Runner ups include: GoldenEye, Dark City and Halloween (original)

The opening scene in the original Star Wars, with the Star Destroyer attacking the blockade runner and the stormtroopers boarding...seeing that as a kid started my love of movies.
