I have just fixed my 2 year old gaming PC, the hardware is out of date so in the next couple of weeks I will be upgrading my graphics card which will also have support for lossless audio via HDMI.
My current out of date Graphics card only supports HDMI audio for up to two channels, but I would like to have my games run through my surround setup. As Games are only Dolby Digital I will not be loosing out by using a Optical audio cable, which I will be able to output via my sound card. So I was wondering if my receiver (Denon 1912) is cabable of processing The HDMI video signal and send that to my TV and also audio from the optical cable to be sent to its AMP to send to the speakers? When I upgrade my graphics card I will not need this, so I am just looking for a solution in the meantime. - Panic |
