Maybe some of you guys that are more into the gaming side can help me out on this. I have mainly been more of a movie buff but am getting back into gaming more too.
I have two PS3s, one is in the theater and the other is in the living room. The one in the theater has been online 24/7 since I bought it. It is my "bat cave" where I go to watch movies and play games on 160" big screen. This PS3 in the theater has my active PSN identity and all my save games and PSN online store information. The one in the living room has only gone online a couple times for firmware updates. I have never played games on it, and it has only been used for movies. I have started gaming more and want to have my exact same PSN account and exact same save games on both PS3s so that I can play games on either one depending on where I am in the house. So here is the question: Is there any way to get all of my PSN account/Save games exactlty the same on both PS3s? Many thanks in advance. ![]() |

I'm gonna venture a guess and say no (meaning that you can't keep them that way). Surely you can transfer any accounts/data onto another one via an external hard drive/flash drive/etc., but to have them automatically update (like if you progress in one save game on PS3 #1 and not have to transfer that exact save game file to PS3 #2) doesn't seem doable.
I'm just guessing though. I'm sure someone with a bit more technical expertise about the PS3 will give you a definitive answer. If it's possible, that's damn cool. ![]() |

Not sure if the backup is machine specific though. Could try the backup to external drive and a restore onto your other PC.

Protected content won't restore AFAIK..it gives you warnings during the backup etc..I would image that user data like game saves wouldn't either since it wouldn't know which user accounts to restore it to on another machine.."common" user data like photos, music, video should *assume*.

The download counts for purchased games will now count as 2 because they are different machines.. ..as far as the second half of your question about game saves - they can be copied to either memory cards or a usb drive. That storage can then be moved to the other machine .. then go to the saved data utility under games and the removable storage should show up with that game save data. Note. I haven't completed these process of doing it to a second machine yet but it looks like it should work from what I understand. *Warhawk is a special case if you didn't get the blu-ray version in terms of access from multiple machines. Update: You should have an allowable count of 5 for download games before you would need to re-buy it. Again to the best of my knowledge at this point. Downloaded PSN games get backed up and will restore correctly if it's on the same machine...you don't need to re-download them as some have wondered..and even if you did they would not count against your 5 if they are being downloaded to the same machine.
