The Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana movies are available in real 3D on Vudu- I caved and bought them, go ahead and laugh

One Direction is only partially concert footage, and those sequences are the only ones in 3D. The rest is documentary footage in 2D with a pushed-in effect.

In terms of REAL music, the Peter Gabriel disc is frustrating because the 3D is in 24fps but the 2D versions are 30fps. The song choices were quite boring also, mostly the mellow stuff.

Thanks! I have Experience Montreux, but forgot about it. And 8traxrule confirms what I've heard about the Peter Gabriel disc - boring.

There's also:

And quite a few classical/opera titles e.g.

Yes, it's worth flagging that these were only ever released in anaglyph 3D on Blu-ray. It's also worth flagging that the 3D edition of This Is It only has a few sequences presented in 3D rather than being entirely in 3D.

Here's a couple 3D music features:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Verdi...Blu-ray/89236/

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Mozar...Blu-ray/17183/

Not really concert but live stage dancing/music. I think the violin playing is live, not sure.

I think that's about it.

Of course the number one 3D music film that isn't on Blu ray 3D (or any other format):

U2 3D (2008). What a shame.

I don't know what requirements for this category, if just 3D/music film, my upcoming Botanica 3D release is intended (in part) as a music feature, not live performance or stage or anything, just flute playing, not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure. But maybe I can add to this very short list in some way.

And I don't know on these if they're music throughout or not but:

And there was that 3 volume CGI 3D set with music. I can't remember what it was called now. I have a demo of it on something. I'll have to look it up.

If we're adding CGI animated 3D music titles then my favourite is:

Would that be Lichtmond? There's a box of the first three, with the fourth coming later:

Yeah, I don't know what the OP's criteria is. Maybe split it up between live performances in 3D and other?

Oh, yeah, it was Lichtmond that had 3 vols. That's the one. There's 3 vols. to it. I never did get them.

Yep, that's the one. Didn't know they had a 4th vol. coming out. Holotronica, doesn't look like available anymore.

It was concert films but it makes sense to have a single thread to list or generally discuss all music-related 3D Blu-rays, as (like the OP points out) there aren't many. You could even go as far as including Disney musicals like Aladdin.

May-Day and Rain both had 3D Blu-Ray concert releases in Hong Kong.

Why happened to Joe? He had a bunch of concerts if my memory is right

JLS: Eyes Wide Open, Alex Campos Regreso A Ti, Die Fantastischen Vier, Rita Coolidge Play Something Sweet, Szabolcs Kovi Fairy Forest and the Feast. Some of the 3D Demo discs (Panasonic, Sony) have music clips included

I've enjoyed hunting down some of the lesser known music 3D blu-ray titles! Just wanted to share these.
I did not include the more popular titles like Deep Purple, Smashing Pumpkins, Katie Perry, Flying Piano, Metallica, GnR etc in this picture. These are recent pickups that I had to hunt for. I also have a bd-r of Rain 3D en route.
I love the lenticular cover of this May'n release!
Which titles do you recommend in this category?

Hi totallygrateful,,

Highly recommend the operas Aida and Carmen, which have nice 3D, plus Kenny Chesney Summer in 3D and Peter Gabriel New Blood. These two are great in both 3D and performance.

One More Time with Feeling is pretty solid but more of a documentary with some performances.

Holotronica and the four Lichtmond releases have interesting 3D animation to music.

For some music but mostly performance art there is Pina (2011).

I would recommend you research before spending any money on them to see if they are a good fit.

Thanks, I've been able to pick all those up! For me, the Lichtmond discs are up there with the NWave movies in terms of 3D strength.
Holotronica accidentally sent me the DVD version. I emailed them and they were quick to reply and send me out the Blu-ray. Looking forward to watching that one after reading 13th Man's recommendation somewhere.
I just heard about a new one (to me) Ligabue Campovolo 3D concert. Looks pretty good, I was happy to find a copy on ebay. Also I just found out about the Mark Chesnutt 3D blu-ray (another Aix disc).
I just ordered the San Base film, Geography of the Universe. I didn't like the 1st one (Function of Reality) quite as much as Lichtmond, but it was still pretty cool.
Hoping to find more obscure performances & music!

If you enjoy Asian Pop I would definitely recommend Ayumi Hamasaki and Mayday's 3D concerts. Fun music and the Mayday disc has a confetti drop that felt like it came into my living room. There's also a K-pop collection of various concerts (LG Cinema K-Pop collection) that I recommend but it may be hard to find. I really liked that Genki Rockets disc you got - it's very short but very great videos. They have another set of videos too if you enjoy that one.

How are the AIX discs?
