As described on Wikipedia, this is not a standard PBS documentary, but actually a French production, which was undertaken from 2009-2012 and broadcast by Arte France from 2010-2012 (EDIT: You can see the six French episodes under producer Bertrand Loyer's IMDb profile here). The French version (presumably with only French narration) came out last year on Blu-ray, but the English version premiered in February on PBS. The narration for the English version is by Jeremy Irons. You can see a trailer here, and some of the imagery looks quite amazing. Did anyone catch the documentary on PBS?
