Brand new scan of several film elements, as well as restored audio

SDH subtitles for the hearing impaired

Audio commentary with star/producer Lawrence Dane

On camera with stars Lawrence Dane and Robin Gammell

The first 1000 will have a slip sleeve as well as a mini poster of the custom cover art. The wrap is reversible.

Scorpion Releasing in conjunction with TVA presents Peter Carter's 1977 backwood Thriller RITUALS. Here is the debut of our cool custom cover art by Nathan Thomas Milliner. The first 2000 copies will have a slip sleeve. We are restoring this film from several different elements so it will be a few months before we release the film. The bonus features from the original Code Red DVD will be included on our release. We will keep you updated on the release.

The IMDB synopsis make it sound as if it's some silly slasher. Well, it's not. It's a thriller/drama. Be warned, slasher fanboys.

Son of a *****, I never wanted this to come to fruition based on how much I paid for the DVD (30 smackaroos.)

But I know I'll be all over this. The print that CR used for their DVD was a massive improvement over what we had previously, but it still needed a lot of work. If they put it through the grinder oh boy, this could be one glorious looking backwoods horror outing.

I don't care that they're using different sources for the HD master - this film NEEDS to be seen in high-def. This will quickly become one of my most-watched - and prized - Blu-rays.

The custom art is weak sauce. Lawrence Dane looks like Craig T. Nelson.

It's a more gruesome version of "Deliverance." I first saw the ad for this film in the summer of 1978 during the New York newspaper strike. Just by how the ad was designed and that it was distributed by a fly-by-night distributor and that this film was released to cheap run-down theaters in bad neighborhoods (including Times Square's infamous 42nd Street strip), I could tell this was not an A-list film. A year later, Siskel & Ebert made this film their "dog of the week," although they saw it under the title "The Creeper."

Hoping Scorpion Releasing takes their time, and release a true HD upgrade. I can deal with spots and lines, just as long as the color timing is messed up or it's a DEADLY SPAWN type situation.
