Wonderful news, this has just been announced for Nov 3, 2016. The HD master used for the foreign releases is very weak (machine-noise everywhere and hardly an upgrade https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&...=66333&i=3&l=0). The new restoration¹ has just been screened at the Venice film festival, and will be screened at the New York Film Festival (Oct 1). Looking forward to this.
On a side note, a Blu for Amarcord has been announced too (Nov 22). ¹I'm taking for granted they will use the new resto, because it seems logic, but details have not been revealed yet. |
