Has anybody compared the movies that are out for both HD DVD and Blu-Ray?

Yes many people have. If you look around the forums at the different movies you'll usually see comparisons. The problem though is that there aren't many movies that are released on both formats yet and when they are they aren't identical as they use a different codec for audio and video. We shall see in another couple months when we can do same disc comparisons.
