Default The other Friday the 13th titles?

Hey everybody. Sorry if there is already a post like this, but I did not find it.

Anyway, are there any dates available for when the next Friday the 13th movies will be available in other countries so we can import? I REALLY want the second and third movie on Blu-ray so...

Since it's a region 2 version, would it not work in US players?

I think they're holding back more releases until the remake hits Blu.

Region 2 only pertains to DVD's. Region B is the proper term for Blu-ray in this case.

Parts III - VIII were just shown on HDNet Movies in HiDef and though I only checked out Parts IV thought VII, V was the one that really impressed - great solid bright colours that "popped"

While the Combo Packs are more intriguing, I'm passing until there's a boxset. I waited to buy the DVDs, I can wait this out too. Very let down they'd rather do a new boxset for the DVDs than a BR one.

Default Yet another Friday the 13th box set coming to DVD

Quote:
Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing yet another box set of their Friday the 13th films, which is a collection of their recently released Deluxe Editions. They never combined those together in a set, so here it is on October 4th. The Deluxe Editions did fix many issues fans had with the box set they released in 2004, namely the 3D version of Friday the 13th Part 3, more commentaries, deleted scenes, and some had uncut versions of the film.

Here’s their press release:

“Take a ride down memory lane with everyone’s favorite psychotic killer Jason Voorhees in the to-die-for DVD set FRIDAY THE 13TH THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION arriving just in time for Halloween on October 4, 2011 from Paramount Home Entertainment. When the original Friday The 13th debuted in 1980, it captured audiences’ imaginations and permeated our collective psyche. 31 years later, the iconic machete-wielding killer continues to haunt, fascinate and terrify a new generation.

This comprehensive set includes every murderous moment from Friday The 13th-Uncut Deluxe Edition, Friday The 13th Part 2 Deluxe Edition, Friday The 13th Part 3-3D Deluxe Edition (with two pairs of 3D glasses), Friday The 13th-The Final Chapter Deluxe Edition, Friday The 13th Part V: A New Beginning Deluxe Edition, Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives Deluxe Edition, Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood Deluxe Edition and Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Deluxe Edition. This extraordinary collection, which will be released in a Limited Edition of only 50,000 numbered units worldwide, includes a replica of Jason’s hockey mask, an 8-page Collector’s Booklet and hours of special features including slashed scenes, making of featurettes, killer commentaries and much, much more.”

No cover art has been revealed yet and no word if a Blu-ray set is forthcoming. The set will also include a hockey mask and a collector’s booklet. The Deluxe Editions were nice, probably the best we might ever get for this series, but if you bought them individually, is it worth it again?

I bought parts 1 through 3 and the remake. I'll buy the rest as they come. I MUST have 4 for the Crispin Glover dance!
