ESRB has added (and then removed when discovered) PS4 and Switch to the listed platforms for all six games. With the 35th Anniversary being this weekend, they’re likely not far off. A similar situation happened with FF9. I played them all on my laptop and they are easily my favorite versions of them (aside from 3D FF4).

I'll consider them if they ever add the bonus levels. Still fiercely prefer the PSP games for 1, 2, and 4 tho.

I’m gonna get them but the originals of IV and VI will always be definitive to me. I’m especially not sold on the new music, which often just sounds “chunkier” - chunky guitars crunching along - and the horns sound overtly “mariachi” (sometimes it could work but certainly not in all cases.) Everyone loved the original soundtracks for good reason. Nothing wrong with synthesized music.

I also don’t like adding actual vocals to the opera scene in VI. My opera scene will always be, “Wa-uh ooo-aaa, wa-ah ooo-aaa!”

But I’m still very interested in trying them out.

Would be nice if they replaced the default PM font but it wouldn't keep me from grabbing these.

Confirmed. Square Enix store will have a limited run of physical standard and collector’s editions (which sucks for us Canadians lol)

I put a Switch Anniversary edition in my cart when I woke up this morning to this train wreck and decided I’m not paying $250 for a record.

Hoping for a Play Asia Asian version.

All six games launch worldwide at 11am Eastern. Can be purchased individually or in a discounted bundle.

New features on console:
-Pixel Font
-Encounter toggle
-Experience modifiers (differ per game)
-Soundtrack toggle (though I have to throw my two cents in here and highly recommend playing with the Pixel Remaster soundtracks lol—they’re phenomenal)
-Various QoL updates

Nah it's pretty bare bones ports across the board. All the bonus levels and extra content are gone.

The music arrangements (esp for 6) are pretty nice tho.

I understand the English language edition of the physical copy from Play Asia is the Asian version. Anyone know if the games with the English texts are identical to the US versions?
