I wasn't sure whether i'd like the Shaw Brothers stuff being released as i thought of them as a bit old school and not what i was familiar with (my only real experience of Asia films was Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan/Sammo Hung/Yuen Bao stuff from the early/mid 80's), but i've tried a few recently (last was "Lady With A Sword" and were better than expected, so might give this one a try too ...

So is there a mistake in the listings between the UK and the USA one? Or is the commentary and poster really exclusive to the UK one and the art cards really exclusive to the USA one? I couldn’t find any information on this. So I just emailed 88 Films directly about this.

I have the UK version and it came with a poster only.

The film itself was a letdown. I enjoyed a lot of the choreography but most of the characters were such imbeciles (including the main character) that I couldn't enjoy the story.

[Show spoiler]Lo Lieh learns a secret martial arts technique and then uses it exactly once near the end of the film in a completely unnecessary scene.

This movie was alright. Not as good as Lady With a Sword or Lady Assassin, but I could see myself watching this again down the line when I'm in the mood.
