Bad Experience getting a phone service

I went to a T-Mobile shop at Times Square and asked for a monthly mobile phone plan with unlimited internet access. They told me that it would be 50 USD a month, with unlimited calling & texting. A little bit high in my opinion, but I said yes (it would have been for only 3 or 4 months). Once he signed me up, he gave me the receipt and asked for almost 700 USD !!!

I was like 'WHAT THE HELL, I AM NOT GOING TO PAY THAT'. He threatened me and said he would call the police if I didn't pay. I didn't pay and told him that he didn't inform me about all the other costs he was talking about. He said that 'I should have done my own research' about those costs... WT... WUT WHAT!?!

Well, eventually he shut his mouth and said that he didn't want a scene and that 180 USD was enough (LOL ?!? from 700 to 180?), but I HAD to pay... So, I paid.

But I just received an automatic text message from T-Mobile, stating that I have to pay 70 USD if I want my monthly phone plan to continue!? I have no credit left, so I just paid the 70 USD because I need to make important phone calls. But what the hell?

I just paid 250 USD for 2 months!??! CAN I DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?
Isn't this considered a scam? Or is 250 USD for 2 fking months normal in the USA?

A few other 'weird' things:
- I keep getting calls from a phone operator located in NYC.
- A lot of different people whom I do not know keep calling & texting me.

How the hell do they know my number? And a few of them think I am one specific person. Could T-Mobile have sold me a used/stolen sim card or something?

Just received a new text message from someone I have never met and don't know. He wants to know if I bring the t-shirts?!?!
