Think I'll import this like I did with the second season, don't like the thought of having it thin.

That's what I paid for Seasons 1 and 2 together, so yeah, definitely needs to come down in price. Honestly, I don't understand why the TV season prices are so incredibly expensive from the beginning, it's so annoying. £30+ for a season is ridiculous when I know it's going to be £17 (or even lower) in a few months. I know I would buy more shows on release (and pay more for them) if they started at just above £20 and kept it there, instead of going from really high to really low on everything.

Me too, I have the UK season 1 but I imported Season 2. I do like my consistant packaging!

Oh that's weird. I had posted this in the US slipcover thread so now I'm wondering if they'll be the same. The latest slipcovers/boxes for HBO shows have been smaller except for Deadwood.

i bought the UK 1 and 2 boxset and both were slim amrays.

I would much rather have behind the scenes stuff then the PiP mode tbh.

I'm with you mate on the price of these things. 15-25 pounds for a full season is a good price and they'd fly off the shelves. Doctor Who is one of the most expensive and worst offender considering it's only a half season to begin with (like True Blood).

It's weird because we can buy a 200+ million dollar film for fifteen quid but a TV series which costs a quarter of that is three times the price (and has already been sold to worldwide markets).

Can anyone answer a in a spoiler free way? As I haven't watched seasons one and two yet (I have the DVD's) how close these follow the books?
[Show spoiler]The first few episodes seemed to be quite faithful but there are characters on the season three cover that didn't make it to book three.

[Show spoiler]Season one is essentially lifted directly from Dead Until Dark. Season two is where it really starts to deviate although both it and season three do include some elements (characters or plot) from the corresponding books but nowhere near as faithful.

Thanks David1, I don't mind different plots I've just been a bit confused when I've seen certain episodes and I think to myself "shouldn't he or she be...?"

So annoying when they keep changing packaging when it comes to series.

Are all seasons of True Blood region-free? I want to buy THIS set from Amazon UK and don't want to place an order until I can get confirmation from someone that these are region-free. I know Amazon says Region-free, but they're not 100% reliable, so I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks!
