Hey, last night I was watching Lord of the Rings the 2 towers on my PS3, and it made me think of a cool analogy, lets see if this sticks:
HD-DVD = all of sauron's focres Microsoft = as sauron Paramount = as saramon (I don't know if that is the right spelling, but the evil white wizard) Paramount was once good but turned to HD-DVD when they got all chicken and left the good side, with the help of Microsoft bribing them also Just like saramon left the good side seeing how sauron's forces are unbeatable and became a traitor so as to stay alive This sort of hit me when I was watching it, can any of yall thinking of something that happened in this format war that is similar to what happened in The Lord of the Rings, maybe for the bluray side And oh yeah I know I have wayyyyyy too much time on my hands ![]() |

I mean I saw the first 2 movies on TNTHD and they just look gorgeous |

I prefer the analogy of Toshiba and Sony being like the magicians Algier and Borden in "The Prestige". And Microsoft is like Tesla. And Paramount is like Borden's wife.

I have been reading the posts from blu-ray.com for quite a while and it seemed to me that most of you people were nice. I bought a PS3 and felt like I was part of a group, but if you act this way to me for putting this up I guess I was wrong.
