I wonder if they'll be doing some sort of Phase 2 boxset like they did with the first 6 films.

The US are certainly getting one.

As we didn't get the briefcase set last time there's next to zero chance we'll get this but I'm sure we'll get a basic boxset similar to our Phase One version.

I've started to just order the Blu-ray now and skip the cinema all together. For two people to see a film it's close to £25 just for tickets, and if I don't like the film I can't get my money back.

So if I just buy the Blu-ray at least if I don't like it I can just sell it on and get some cash back.

Cinema is reserved for a very limited amount of films for me now, like say Star Wars and Jurassic World this year.

I never got the UK Phase One set I hope they re release it or something similar but actually market it as Phase One and not just Avengers Assemble

Exactly what we do.Add two kids to the mix and it's even pricier.Just seen Ant Man(brilliant!),already done Age Of Ultron,Jurassic World,Minions,Tomorrowland and a few others this year. The big budgets that are family friendly are the only films we do at the pictures now,the days of watching Reservoir Dogs at midnight are long gone...

Amazon has the release date now listed as November 30th, still no update on artwork or slipcovers.

Its very likely the 2D and 3D artwork will look like this...

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...9&postcount=33

and expect a slipcover only with the 3D release.

2D looks so much better. Still hoping SB has decent art otherwise it'll get cancelled and I'll go for a £10 cheaper amaray.

UK SB will no doubt use the same artwork as the Best Buy release...

It's probably not well known: Asian editions of popular releases, certainly all Marvel, usually come with a slipcase. Classification and barcode labels are typically fixed to the outer plastic wrap, so the package can be used in any country. That means the slipcase and the actual cover are free of such things. Check out this Thai editon.

Lack of slips on 2D releases was why I started buying the 3D releases, might cost a few quid extra but you can always sell off the 3D disc and get half the price back so actually works out cheaper than just buying the 2D release.
