Default May the 4th Be With You: Who Participated?

I'm surprised I didn't see a thread on this. Well my son and I have been having a Star Wars week in honor of May the 4th. We watched Episode III and V (blu-ray of course).

Any of you guys do any Star Wars last week/this week? Discuss.

I wasn't able to watch any SW yet but I did manage to snag a mint used copy with 3D lenticular slip of Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008) for $9.37 after tax. And grabbed the TV series box set seasons 1-4 off AmazonUK for $89.77 shipped.

I wore one of my Star Wars shirts, not intentionally, but then I realized later it was the 4th.

I guess, technically, you can't say I participated, unless participation does not necessarly denote a deliberate in act, in which, yes, I participated.

I normally don't celebrate Star Wars Day based on some lame joke that everyone wants to tell.
To those of us who were There, Star Wars Day was, and will always be, Memorial Day: May 25, 1977.

(In our college town, however, the, erm, demographic of the town had delayed the Pride Day Parade to the weekend, instead of Wednesday--
So, I was still able to wear my Disney Star Wars Weekend pin in public, to rebelliously celebrate the "real" holiday they were trespassing upon, and adopt Bad Pun Day to keep my proud "Standing in line at the Boston Charles Theater...THREE times!" heritage alive. While half the population in town was acting not unlike persecution-fantasy "Huhuh, we rool! " Star Wars convention geeks, some of us in town WERE proud Star Wars geeks.)

I DID get to do a little something. I have a terrible habit of buying blu's faster than I can watch 'em, and then before I know it, I got A LOT of movies to watch! Haha, but I bought the Saga Boxset opening day. However, I never saw the Episode I disc, instead I saw it in theaters in 3D when it was re-released. Shortly thereafter I saw Episode II & III discs, but never sat down to watch the ORIGINAL trilogy. Soooo, I was quite pumped to sit down and watch Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope on May the 4th (be with you!). It was EPIC. That Blu-ray looked great

I planned on geeking out by hitting the local comic shops for Free Comic Book Day wearing one of my Star Wars tees, then watching at least SW and Empire, but was so swamped with housework prepping to move. Couldn't do anything.

i do have to agree that the whole pun is tired and should not continue next year. It was mildly amusing the first year they did it, but then for a couple years now they roll it back out, and it's just kind of lame and annoying. By 9am I was sick of hearing it, and so I specifically boycotted all things Star Wars that day

My wife surprised me with a Star Wars Breakfast at a local coffee shop downtown.

It was awesome. A bunch of people dressed up (some in costume, most in T-Shirts) and the coffee shop served Star Wars themed food.

My wife and I had the "Greedos Breakfast Burrito"...they also had "Eggs Wing Benedict", "Stuffeed Tan-Tan biscuit" (a biscuit in the shape of a Tan-Tan with the filling hanging out the side), "Princess Leia Cinnabuns", "Millenium Fulcon Tea Cakes", and something else...can't remember.

It was alot of fun. Good coffee and a bunch of like-minded nerds

As did I!

Went to the 6pm showing, which had a Q&A with Mark Hamill, and then met him after. It's a night to be long remembered for me.

Yeah, we know May 25th should be the day, but it doesn't have the same ring to it, besides, May 4th is my birthday! I get to celebrate my b-day and my favorite movie at the same time, lol. I watched Star Wars Ep IV (nothing beats the original ). I also ordered some SW Legos (I'm a collector of SW Legos) during Lego's 'May the 4th Be with You' sale. I don't really go out and 'celebrate', but it gives me a good reason to pop in my SW BDs and force the family to watch, lol.
