Very glad to see The Prefab People and Autumn Almanac included. Now Curzon just need to give all of these films room to breath and competent encodes and we're good to go.

Prefab People is included, as an extra on Disc 2, but it’s not the longest version as listed in the booklet at 102mins.

The version of Prefab People in this set is the shortest version, just over 70mins.

In the back of my mind I am really afraid that there could be a repeat of the Wim Wenders box kerfuffle, which I did also pre-order. This one is a bit less expensive with a lot less films, and I think I'm still going to pre-order despite that fear.

Even if they make sub-optimal encodes or other blunders, I'm not likely getting any better English-friendly Region-B compatible versions of these movies anyway in a suitable shape for me - I just really like the director based box set format, it goes well with the way I organize my shelves and I like to keep the number of items down if possible.

But I hope that doesn't signal I'm ok with them releasing crap. Hmm... but what will I do if I did pre-order and it was crap? I guess I will at least join the voices complaining about it on these forums. Hmm...

A bit annoying I already own five of these films from prior releases. I think I'll wait until they break them out individually and just pick up the remaining ones I'm interested in.

So let me get this straight:
These are only Blu-Rays, no UHD included? If so, weird decision.

I jumped on this! I hope it turns out well! Holding off on ordering the 4K until I hear its earth shattering better than the Criterion.

Being in LA, do you play this using a region-free player? I'm curious if this set works with the "Top Menu trick" on the Panasonic UB820.

I have both a region-free player and the Panasonic, but prefer using my Panasonic since it produces a slightly better image.

Hmm I was hoping it would show up on Rarewaves before today's 10% off code ends, but it's 130€ there Might have to order from Amazon after all.

Edit: Hmm with -10% and free shipping still might come out ahead of Amazon with their expensive shipping

Their weird choice to not include the 4K discs in box sets but do separate standalone 4K releases is almost annoying as their insistence on slapping CURZON over everything.

Is there any concrete evidence that there will be more than one 4K UHD release spun out from this box?

I don't like the Curzon text being everywhere in their sets but otherwise looks beautiful. Have to get it but why on earth not put the 4K discs in there??

I may bite on the box if "Satantango" has the correct aspect ratio...
