I bought the Steelbook version out of complete impulse yesterday.

Complete blind buy, have not yet seen this film.

That a big investment for a blind buy. Hope you enjoy the movie more than I did.

Enjoyed it, but didn't love it, so just the standard BD/DVD/UV version.

I think I might just rent the movie and probably buy it later on when the extended version gets released if I like it.

Rather than wait for the next instalment of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug of this trilogy that gets released in cinemas at the end of December.

Did anyone hear Peter Jackson will be releasing an extended edition? I've heard rumours it will come out just before The Desolation of Smaug is released in cinemas at the end of the year.

Warner Bros announced this back in October of last year. At that time they announced a fourth quarter 2013 release.

I saw at the movies and it was entertaining but not amazing, I was a bit bored by the length, seemed to drag in parts.
However I still picked up the steelbook version in the recent JB 20% off for the collection. Would re-watch one day, give it a second chance.
