Green Hornet German reprint. I knew how the Future Shop version looked and didn't realize the German one wasn't embossed. Picked it up one day when it dropped in price. Very disappointed the day that arrived. No embossing, flat finish. Ugh...

None, really. If I think the cover art isn't attractive then I won't pick it up. Which sucks sometimes, because there are some titles I would have gotten but they looked bland. Like, Memento or From Dusk Til Dawn (Both Alliance).

They really could have done some exciting images for them.

I bought green zone UK steelbook from eBay, when it came just didn't like all the text on the front, glad on paid £4 for it with free delivery. Just when I look at it I think, 'this is my ugliest Steel'

Got a couple I don't really like the look of

The Raid (GER)
Silence of the Lambs

Had some others I didn't really like (including 3 Toy Story ones) but I sold them.

Transformers 1 (German First Print)

It doesn't really "fit" with my Canadian TF2 or my German TF3 steelbooks. The Play.com version of TF1 fits better with TF2 and TF3, and I'm quite happy with it, especially since I've put both discs in it now.

Just need to recycle my German TF1 first print steelbook now.

Hunger Games uk has a rough finish, like a badly done matte, no inside art, small artwork, just generally feels like a lesser version of the future shop mocking bird edition.

Star Wars IV-VI too dark, artwork is shoddy. gloss on the outer edges only, why?

^ I think I would have regretted SotL, weird placement (black void at the bottom) and repeated art...got the trilogy set instead.

I sort of dont like the Scott Pilgrim one from Zavvi, it has a really ugly spine. The letters are so small, you can barely tell what movie it is. I do like the cover and inside artwork though

I was somewhat disappointed in the background color of the 7 Psychopaths German release. It looks more yellow in the pictures, but in person it's very green. Could be just me though.

Amazing Spider-Man, but only because I don't like that image on the cover...I wished it was any of the other promo images for that movie, but the close-up of him its just weird...

The only steelbook purchase I might regret is the Canadian Pan's Labyrinth.

I'm no where near as big a collector as most and I don't buy many steelbooks, but the ones I've got I bought because I really liked the design/artwork. If I don't like the steelbook I'll stick with the regular amaray.

Half agree. It seems they should have/could have used a better image featuring the Faun or the tree, but it's still pretty cool. What killed it for me was the printed blu-ray banner on the top. Both Canadian Kill Bill movies have that banner as well, but the artwork is gorgeous.

I don't really regret any of mine. Last Samurai and Wall-E are kind of plain, though.

Don't have a lot of room so I have to be pretty picky. Only get steels that I think look awesome and I love the film. There have been a lot of steels that I did not pick up because I did not like the art work but love the film (The Fighter) and a lot of steels that I think look awesome but did not get because I do not like the film (Captain America). Got rid of The Crow from Germany because I thought it looked kind of ugly in person. The blue blu ray border never really bothered me until until they started making steels without it, now I really think it takes away from the steelbook. Kept some but did trade a few for other versions when they came out ( I am Legend, Kill Bill, Sin City).

Generally, I try to get a digibook or steelbook edition of films I own, but there are several steels I've held off on since the art is unattractive.

Memento (CA), Gangs of New York (CA), and Chinatown (US) are a few that I will not buy despite the fact I love each of the films (I have amaray versions).

Requiem for a Dream. Bad artwork for a great movie.

Big dishonorable mention for The Avengers. That movie is so overrated. Blind buy.

I feel that the Captain America Steelbook, should have had the back art and front art switched. With Cap on the cover, and the shield blank with no text on the other side. It would've matched with the other Marvel steelbooks better.

The Rock from Play.com. (same style as Armageddon)

Incredibly lazy and uninspired steelbook, cheap looking matte blurry images front and back, and blank inside.

I added custom inside art so it actually looks cool in there now, but still...

I was totally gonna sell it off too, but then I actually watched the movie and really enjoyed it, so I decided to keep it.

Yeah, great movie poor steelbook. I was going to get it but kind of glad I held off this and Armageddon...even though Armageddon is a badass movie as well.
