Default Panny plasma power on problems

Hey guys, my Panny Panny TH-46PZ85U Plasma is less than a year old.
About a week ago it started having a problem.
When I turn it on it wont come on. I have to unplug it and plug it back in two or three times until it finally comes on.
Once it's on, every thing is fine, other than the fact I have to reprogram the clock, channels, etc.

It was plugged into a surge protector and everything else on the strip works fine. It also has the same problem being plugged directly into the wall.
I notice that when I plug it back it in and it doesnt turn on,that I can hear it click two times, and when it does power on you can only hear it click once.
I've got a square trade warranty, and they called me today to advise they've dealt with this issue before, are sending the parts to me via ups,and once they arive,to call them to schedule the tech. to come out.
Anyway, hopefully they'll be able to fix the problem, I was just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem or any idea what could be wrong.
Thanks!

I took a look over there, but I think I'm even more confused now. I did check my light and it blinks 10 times if that means anything.

Try plugging the TV into its own power strip. I had a problem with my TV shutting off randomly, and it turned out that I just had to much current on the same strip. My receiver as a bunch of other things were on the same strip and it was just too much. I moved the TV to a different strip and bingo. Try to move it to a different strip or plug directly into the wall socket and see what happens.

Well, I'm stumped. Since its less than a year old I'd call up Panasonic since its still under warranty.

I agree that you should call Panasonic. I am currently having a problem with my Panasonic which is also under a year-old and they have done a great job of helping.

What sort of problem are you having? Sorry , I'm just curious. You don't get to here about to many things wrong with Panasonic's.

My tv has a 3" vertical black bar going down the middle of the screen at all times. The repair center ordered a part that they hope will fix it that will be in early next week. I started a thread when the problem started.

It's not under a warranty with Panasonic because I didn't buy it from an authorized dealer. That's why I got the square trade warranty as mentioned in my 1st post.

I didn't notice that. Either way, its under warranty so I wouldn't be too worried. I'm sure it sucks having to deal with that issue though, and hopefully your problem will be fixed soon.
