Default saw blu-ray today...

hey all... well today i went to a tv store and demoed blu-ray in person. the t.v. used was a sony 50" sxrd KDS-R50XBR1. so, obviously the t.v. was top of the line. i was able to demo the player over both hdmi and component. to begin, there wasn't a difference that was noticeable between hdmi and component. i'm not sure if the sammsung had a new firmware or not. i demoed both fifth element and ultraviolet. to say the least, the picture was amazing. i honestly have no idea where some of the bad press is coming from. if i wasn't waiting for the sony player, i would have bought the player. i did not have a hd-dvd player with me that i could demo the sammy against, but if the picture got any better i prob would have dropped something in my shorts. anyway, just figured i'd drop a line and say what i thought.
