beauty!! How much more worth it is it going straight to Zavvi for these instead of waiting for Ebay? What does the shipping and tax usually come out to be from the UK?

(obliviously I'm in the States)

Zavvi ships to the states for only £.99 (about $1.60 USD) so just go direct to them. In fact, all of the EU amazon sites (UK, DE, FR, IT, etc.) ship to the states also and most countries the shipping amount is not too bad.

I only go the fleabay route for things I did not pre-order and missed out one. No need to pay someone $40 for something eBay when you can import yourself for $25.

It's funny how tastes differ. People hate on the zavvi ratatouille cover, which i like, it's not perfect but nice.
And then people go gaga over this, really, it's to cluttered, a bad Photoshop job.

I will still buy it, since i love the movie, but not a fan of the cover.

What i would call perfection is the cover of Ex_Machina from zavvi.

Hmmmm...
I don't know.. It seems kind of a "busy" cover to me..
I'd prefer something more minimalistic and elegant.

I'm one of the people who hates the Ratatouille cover and loves this one. I consider Ratatouille a bad Photoshop job, or at least lazy and unappealing.

Levi at HDN has pointed out how this can be improved though and I agree (by reversing the image back to the way it was so that the characters aren't staring away from the tunnel).

Credits are actually written on the back?

Credits like that are pretty common on a lot of Fox, Warner Bros., etc steels. HTTYD was different b/c everything normally on the j-card was printed on the back including special features, movie description, pictures, etc.

HTTYD was much worse than that...

The back looked like an info card

What these guys said. I have no real issue with the way it is done on steelbooks like the way AI is. Yss there are credits but at least they are at the bottom of the artwork and out of the way. IMHO they really don't take anything away from the back artwork.

And the figure to be silver embossed or something.

I don't get the busy or cluttered thing personally, but maybe I just have bad taste for these things. To me the more stuff there is to look at the better as long as it comes together fairly cohesively and doesn't have weird distractions like the intersecting lines and awkward title on that Mondo Drive.. this looks great though and I'll be in for sure. Usually Zavvi steels don't resonate with me but this one is great.

To me the cluttered look just reminds me of vhs tape covers and 80s movies posters when every character and location and sometimes even object seemed to feature.

Mondo have some "busy" art, but they are all extremely well made and beautiful
