Who else buys imports?

So I've been buying blu's since the day PS3 came out. Bought them furiously for about two years until I became a statistic of the Great Recession, (I have different names for it.) Started buying again at a good clip in 2011. Been going strong for a while now, got a few hundred titles, and started getting frustrated about the availability of titles in region 1, especially pre-1960 titles.

Finally, in the last month, I took the plunge:
I spent a good chunk, (almost $50) on a Spanish copy of 'Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia', a must-have for me. It was far from perfect, spanish subtitles initiate spontaneously every now and then, but I had my movie. So, after that, I took a couple more chances, on an Italian copy of Ladyhawke, and a German copy of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, both quite cheap. Now, I'm totally hooked, and I'm especially pleased at how very well-set-up this website is for searching foreign/import titles, this is where the website really goes the extra mile, and the users that aren't using this feature are missing out on a powerful consumer tool.

Though I'm enjoying this feature, and making a fool of myself acting like I've found something new that has in fact been here for a long time, I still haven't crossed over to buying anything that isn't region-free: I don't want to end up regretting a purchase over something so avoidable.

So, I'm curious: who among you buy import titles?
Do you only buy region free?
Do you only buy from international merchants that you can "understand"? (While I will buy a release from any market, I won't buy from a merchant who won't speak english or german... I pretty much will only buy from Amazon).
Do you guys outside of the U.S. buy region 1 titles?

Would any of you who do buy import titles, care to share reviews of some of the titles you have bought in this thread? I myself will update this thread in a couple of days with reviews of my import purchases thus far.
I know it has been posed in other threads already, but would any of you care to nominate any titles that have a better release out of region as opposed to U.S.?

Kinda throwing this open as yet another redundant discussion (albeit begun for my information and amusement) of import blu-rays.
