Default LG’s PQ60D TV with unbelievable 1,000,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 600HZ refresh rate

This is interesting, a LG flat panel with a billion to one contrast ratio with 600HZ refresh rate. I wonder what the ANSI contrast ratio is and will this LG TV display true 25:25 pulldown for 1080P/24 material?

I've seen the greatness of what 1 million to 1 contrast ratios look like. Essentially a true black and incredible definition - definitely better than most of the flat panels (especially LCD) out today. This new LG is claiming to have 1000X more contrast at 1 billion to 1! That's amazing, but I wonder at what point that it doesn't make a significant visual impact. 1 million to 1 is pretty good.

Then again, someone may come out with a 1 trillion to 1. It doesn't seem impossible at this point!

Gotta love technology.

I won't be happy until they release 1 quadrillion to 1 contrast ratio, I'm sure I will be able to see some kind of grayness in their 1 billion to 1 and flicker.

Oh for God's sakes.

DYNAMIC CONTRAST RATIO MEANS NOTHING.

ANSI will show this set to be around 1,100:1

not to mention the LG tvs have all been far from accurate colors... black crush like you wouldn't believe even though the blacks aren't as deep as other TVs
