as you probably would say im not a true fan, i cannot stand stu. sg1 was cool and im currently watching it on netflex and at season 5 right now. sg1 started sucking (for me) when mcgyver left. atlantis was cool too. i would have to say sg1 for the win for the years i liked it then atlantis. the thing that gets me is that they seem to try and regurgitate the same character types. that may work with some characters but not all and for every show.

SG-1 is my favorite although I didn't like it quite as much once RDA left the show. It took me a bit to warm-up to SGA but then I really liked it as well. SGU is just too different so I really don't consider it a part of Stargate.
I wish they would have combined some of the casts from SG1 and SGA. For example, I think Joe Flanigan would have been a good replacement for Richard Dean Anderson. Reading on gateworld they said at one point they were considering a movie that combined all the casts. I think that would have been fun but oh well, guess all that is dead now. |

Stargate SG-1 by far. It's better than the theatrical film. Atlantis never gelled - it was decent, but definitely a retread of SG-1 without much of its own direction.
SGU just wasn't very good. I never cared about any of the characters. |

For me it was very important is was going to be different! It was darker, I loved it, although the first few episodes it had it's problems. I love all three but I'm still glad they didn't copy Universe from it's predecessors.

It's not quite fair, given that SG-1 went 10 seasons, SGA 5 seasons, and SGU only 2.
For me, it's SG-1, mostly because of the terrific cast over all 10 seasons. It kind of slumped when it moved from Showtime to Sci Fi, but it picked up again. My wife and I liked SGA enough to watch it until the end, but the quality of the episodes was all over the map, and while some of the cast were good (David Hewlett, Joe Flanigan, and Paul McGillon especially), neither of us much liked Rachel Luttrell or Jason Momoa. SGU is hard to judge because it's so different in tone from the other two series, and it took awhile to find its footing. It got noticeably better in Season 2, and I was unhappy to see it get cancelled. |
