Default Ok I had a Michael Bay moment im sorry!

After coming to this site and seeing all the HD-DVD hoopla about the $99.00 player at Walmart, BestBuy and Kmart going HD-DVD exclusive I got upset and posted a nasty remark "why isnt blu-ray fighting back?" After calming down and realizing in the next few days with the largest ever promotion from SONY regarding the PS3 and all the big movies coming out what do we have to worry about?

Any company (Toshiba) that has to offer a promo like $99.00 not even a 1080p player must really fear how well the new PS3 40g and adds will push blu-ray even further past Hd-DVD. So im sorry for having my Michael bay moment. ALthough like him My Money is on BLU-RAY all the way.

Shake in your boots suckers because SONY never really even promoted blu-ray before and blu-ray is still out selling HD-DVD. Can you imagine now that they are promoting blu-ray in the PS3 how much more that well help blu-ray.

Kool-aid tastes great the first few sips but after you really taste it you realize that its just sugar, water, and some color dye.

Welcome back.

It's not even the 40GB PS3 they're afraid of, it's Pixar.

Don't ever underestimate the power of Pixar when it comes to home video. They don't have it, they'll never have it, and they're selling stuff to people before it becomes a wildly known fact.

They're so going to get slaughtered in disc sales for the exact week they had their little hardware firesales. All the fannish gloating on the non-blu HD forums will go the way of the Transformers figures.

Its great to be a part of a group of awesome people that share this passion for blu-ray. You guys always put things in perspective and I appreciate it as long as your not jerks about it.

Since we're confessing...

I seriously considered picking up an HD DVD player. I eventually came to my senses, though. We need a support group for this sort of problem.

No way would i be flushing 50 dollars down the toilet buying an hd dvd player, so you can forget the $98 dollars.

maybe if it was 19.99 with 10 free movies id consider it for 1 sec...... hmmm.
What the hell was I thinking I work to hard to throw away $19.99

Welcome back.
You have never had my "Evil Grape Kool-aid". Add gin, vodka, rum, triplesec and blu-curacao to that dye and you will be tasting a lot more than sugar. Muwahahaha *horns showing*

I've had the 60 GB for over 6 months now, and it's been a great purchase, I have no complaints and with the very real possibility that the PS3 will support Profile 1.1 and BD-live it just makes it all that much more of a better deal, HD-DVD it was nice knowing you... kinda :P

Plus you have to also look at this $99.00 player. For one this is just a sale for this weekend from Wal-mart, there is no mention of this being the standard price, plus the inventories are limited. Two, Best Buy offered so few of these and if you search for the HD-A2 on BB website it has been completely removed, the last I checked.
