Does anyone have either of these on Blu? Each are available in both France and Germany and I'm trying to figure out which versions to get. I'm mostly worried about forced subtitles and if any of them are 1080i50.

Well, I ended up ordering the French versions and was pretty disappointed.
Pig Hunt has the worst video quality I've ever seen on a BD, and I'm including Echo Bridge releases. It looked like someone took the film, filmed it with a camcorder, then transferred that to disc. To add salt to the wound, it was also 1080i50. Dance of the Dead was also 1080i50, but at least the video quality was good. It also had some -- but not nearly all -- of the special features from the US DVD. Neither disc had forced subs. I sent them both back -- I discovered Amazon.fr's return policy is just as great as the US version -- and ordered the German discs instead. The German versions I'm happy with: 1080p24 and no forced subs. Dance of the Dead has zero special features, but I'm not into those so much anymore, anyway. |

Dance of the Dead was made in Canada with a Panasonic AJ-HDC27 Varicam, so it's very likely 720p24 or 720p60 originally.
