Default How to make sure HD DVD fails sooner than later!

this is just my answer to how we as Blu-Ray supporters can and should deal with the FUD being done right now FROM the HD DVD promotional group to bolster a Failing Format.

or "lets not worry about those $98.00 HD DVD Players still sitting on the shelf"....the point is the electronics area of Walmart has all kinds of DVD players this is just like any other DVD player to most people that shop at Walmart . the majority of people that are going to pick up this player is of the current install base of fans of HD DVD and they are going to give them away as gifts for family.

that is they may also buy some of the HD DVD movies also to give as part of the gift which i see as certain. Now this may seem on the surface a problem because it may lure Warner Bros. to keep supporting Both formats and that is exactly what The HD DVD promotional group needs to Happen thats all they need to happen to pull a win. Even if Warner Bros. does not go exclusive They still get to stay in the game its all about getting to KEEP IHD around.

the problem with that is Warner Bros. knows that if they cannot generate enough Movie sales for Warner Bros. Movies on HD DVD this 4th Q: the head office wants them to make a choice and that choice of course would be Blu-Ray.

so how can you make them fail instead of buying that $98.00 HD DVD player buy Warner Bros. Blu-Ray movies with the same $98.00 by doing that its sure enough to show that Blu-Ray is the way to go for Warner and HD DVD will Fail sooner than later.

just my take..

actually, what would really make toshiba and hd dvd fanboys flip out. is if we all we went to walmart and bought up the cheap players and simply broke them and threw them in the trash. we simply don't buy and hd dvd discs and toshiba losses millions AND doesn't get a dime from increased software sales from new customers. warner would be like WTF? you sold all those players, but are sales havn't increased. and can you imagine being a tosh exec. and find you just spent milions for the oppostions fanboys to break and throw away your heavily subsized players.

I'm pretty sure the $100 would be tax-deductible in this case.

I have said I wouldn't buy that piece of crap at any price, but I have had a second thoughts about it. My aunt has been wanting a dvd player for her bedroom. I might buy her one for Christmas because I know for a fact she has no idea what hd dvd is and besides that she would have it installed to a Sony tube TV.

Must admit though the embarrassment of being seen picking up that worthless piece of crap is eat me up. But I guess Ill take one for the team

It just doesn't make sense for me to throw away my money like that... I'm hoping to find some Warner titles I like enough to buy in the next short while.

i totally agree with joes statement. we gotta do this quarter what we did on the week transformers launch....and that is support blu ray. this quarter is critical for the future of blu ray. push has come to shove...and we need to support the superior format. i sure as hell wont settle for less
