Just saw the commercial while watching the football game (Go Saints!). The sequel looks awesome! Hope we get a 3D Bluray. I absolutely loved the first one.

Well tickets are up online for preorders now here but only in 2D. I kinda expected this but was hoping for something in 3D.

Does anybody anywhere have a showing scheduled in 3D?

Here's one from Iowa:

I would imagine there's more listings out there.........

Due to increasing COVID-19 cases, ALL THEATERS are closed in my home state (Illinois).

2D only for my Cinemark theaters. Regal has been closed for awhile now.

This stinks. But I'll support the film in theaters anyway.

Any theater showing a 3D movie in 2D should just stay closed. I've been hoping this whole situation would weed out the bad theaters.

The AMC theatres in Florida near me only have it in Dolby, Imax, or Digital, no 3D. I don't go to the movies anymore so, I'll wait for the 3D Blu-ray.

I just checked both of those again and the 3D listings are gone!

Of all the things to get people back into theaters, 3D would be it. Yet the theaters that are still open just don't care it seems.

BLMN on this forum works at a theater chain. I wonder if his theater is still open and what the story is on why a theater shows 3D or not.

If it boils down to what the franchise tells each theater they can get. Not sure, but I requested Cinemark play The Road a week after it was already supposed to be in theaters and they obliged, and showed the movie the following week to my shock. That was great.

I'll put in a request for 3D too for the Croods now to my local theater.

I just sent a message, through the AMC Stubs contact link, conmplaining about the lack of 3D Croods in my area. I pointed out that it isn't like they have tons of new movie competition so that theater space is in heavy competition. Most of what is showing these days are old movies. Why can't they carve out one screen to do 3D?

Will report back if I even get a response.
