Default HELP - Trying to expand my collection

So i want to expand my collection. but i would like to start by buying some really good recommended films from the 70s,80s, and 90s.

I need some recommendations on great films from those years, all movies such as Horror, Action, Drama, Sci Fi and Etc.... If you need to look through my collection to see what i have and dont have you can...

I would appreciate everyone's responses!

Since it looks like you're lacking a lot of 70's titles I would start there. Everyone has recommended a lot of good ones already (Godfather, Star Wars, All The President's Men, Taxi Driver, Apocolypse Now, etc.). I didn't notice Kramer vs. Kramer in anyone's lists. I think that one is a quality flick. You might want to venture into the 60's too if you want to really "expand" your collection. Want an easy way though just use AFI's top 100 list. Most of the time they are right about a movie.

If you're looking to save some money definitely pick up Raging Bull for $8. Best $8 you could spend (on movies ;-P). If you're looking for "cheap" quality movies we'll have to do more research lol.

The best way to expand your collection is to expand your tastes. Check out films in genres you don't watch much. Look at classic films from the past. Open your mind, don't just increase the number of bluray cases on the shelf.
