I wonder if the booklet would be the omnibus of the 3 tie-in comics books.

Also, if it does release next year, it will mark a decade since Richard Kelly's last film. Yikes.

for a movie that a lot of people criticized heavily, I remember quite enjoying this. I randomly caught this on tv a few years ago and thought it might not be a perfect movie, but it's entertaining and ambitious. for something that didn't have a huge budget, he really put it all on the screen. he got solid performances from all the cast... which is saying something, because I don't know that you read the script for this and it all makes sense on the page.

he takes some big swings with this movie, and while he may not have knocked it out of the park... it's more way more fascinating and interesting that any of the mainstream stuff that came out at the time.

WOW I just saw this on the Waterworld insert too.

Southland Tales' best-known extended or alternate version is the 160 minute Cannes Film Festival version.

I will be buying this for sure!!!

I haven't seen this movie in maybe 10 years or so. I remember enjoying it for what it is. I think the biggest issue that came from it was Kelly's last (and debut!) movie being Donnie Darko...not exactly easy to follow since I'm sure many fans wanted DD 2.0 and nothing less.

Can't wait to pick this up though

A friend in Los Angeles just told me that Richard Kelley is going to be presenting the "Cannes Cut" at LACMA soon. Hopefully this is a sign that it will be included on the Arrow release.

It would be kind of pointless not to include the Cannes cut since the film is already available on Blu-ray for less than $10.

Always enjoyed this movie and found it not to be deserving of the criticism thrown at it. It's hugely ambitious and all over the place but its a lot of fun too and full of great performances. I always laugh at Sarah Michelle Gellar shouting "astrophysicist" at Dwayne Johnson.

The moment Arrow announced the title, especially with their close relationship with Kelly, the Cannes cut was a guarantee lock for the set.

The screening of the Cannes cut probably hints were about to see this sooner rather than later.

I seen this one years ago but don't remember much about it believe that it was a little weird overall but if Arrow is bringing this one out with an added different cut to the set i might have to end up with this one too.

Oddly, the announcement lists it as the "Cannes Cut" but also with a run time of 144 minutes. Hopefully, the listed run time is just an oversight.
