Default TV Not on Blu-ray?

I'm quite surprised that there are many recent shows out there that are not available on Blu-ray, yet they only receive a DVD release. If many of you are familiar with the British television series such as Miranda on BBC and Trollied on Sky 1, for instance, you will probably have seen them on their HD channels. If they were shot in HD it should only be fair that they receive Blu-ray releases right? The same goes for American shows such as Bob's Burgers or Whitney. Another show in particular I should mention is the Australian drama series Packed to the Rafters, which has so far released 5 seasons on DVD and only the second season was also released on Blu-ray. I think all recent shows should have a Blu-ray release as well as a DVD release.

I would also be happy to see many older shows on Blu-ray especially if they have been remastered in 16:9 widescreen like they have done with Friends and That 70s Show. Both look amazing. They should eventually release all shows on Blu-ray even if they are in 4:3. If not for the picture quality, let it be to save space.

Older shows i'd love to see on Blu-ray

* Buffy the Vampire Slayer
* Xena: Warrior Princess
* The Simpsons
* 3rd Rock from the Sun
* 8 Simple Rules
* Less Than Perfect
* Hope & Faith
* Grounded for Life
* King of the Hill
* The Parkers (at least a DVD release)
* Charmed
* Veronica Mars
* Eve (at least DVD release)
* Daria
* Everybody Loves Raymond
* The King of Queens
* McLeod's Daughters
* Prisoner: Cell Block H
* Bad Girls

Recent Shows i'd love to see on Blu-ray

* The Middle
* Bob's Burgers
* Whitney
* Outnumbered
* Miranda
* Trollied
