[GUIDE] Use services like Netflix and Hulu in Australia

Think what you pay now for paid TV is a waste? Not getting enough out of your viewing! Well my friends I want to change that for you. Follow the guides below:

To subscribe to any of these services you will need a US VPN or the easiest way is to use Unblock-US for a 1 week free trial (No payment information required) and thereafter $5 per month unblock-us will allow you to access every major US catchup website, app, netflix, Hulu, amazon along with UK streaming sites like the BBC iplayer etc. Unblock-us requires just an email address. Incredibly easy to setup, lots of guides on their site.

Once you have a US VPN or unblockus then you can subscribe to netflix on their website, before that point it won't let you as it will see you're in Australia. They offer a one month trial but you have to provide payment information. it will start billing you at the end of the month unless you cancel it. Australian credit or debit cards work fine. Netflix subscription is $8 per month. So a total cost of $13 per month.

Guide for the noobs

1. Head to Unblock-us and sign up to their free 1 week trial. Does not require any payment information.

2. Add the unblock-us DNS's to your router so that every device on your network can access US content. Ie. PC, Tablets, Gaming Consoles etc. or you can manually add the DNS's to each device that you want to watch netflix etc on. Their website has guides for every router and device under the sun.

3. Once you have unblockus DNS's running on a computer or device. Head to the Netflix site and sign up to the free 1 month trial. Use a fake address and zip code from somewhere in America. You will have to add a credit card so that it can start billing you at the end of the month. If you don't like it just cancel before the months up and you won't be billed. Your Aus credit card will work fine. If your having problems using an Aus card, try on a different browser, it has helped others.

4. Once signed up, download netflix and sign in with your US netflix login details. Unblock-US will cost you $5 per month and netflix is usually $7.99 a month. Total cost of $13

If you want Hulu

To use Hulu you have 2 options. If you have an Apple TV it is easiest and cheapest to use that to sign up and bill your account, then you can use it on any device. If you don't have an Apple TV you will need to use this site to purchase a card that will allow you to sign up. You can't use an Aus credit card or Paypal account with Hulu.

You will need unblock-us or a US VPN running to setup and use Hulu as well.

Using Apple TV:

1. Create a US iTunes account following this guide:

2. Sign out of your Aus iTunes account on Apple TV and sign into your newly created us account. Choose United States as your country for the Apple TV in options.

3. If unblock-us is running on your network then you should now see all the US Apple TV apps like Hulu and netflix.

4. Open Hulu and choose start free 1 week trial. Choose the option for iTunes to bill your Hulu account monthly.

5. Enjoy 1 week trial of Hulu and cancel before the end of the week if you don't like it.

6. If your enjoying it and want to continue. Go to this link and buy a US iTunes gift card for however much you want. Hulu is $8 a month also so $50 will get you 6 months access.

7. Once the code is emailed to you, open iTunes on your computer and add the gift card to your account. Your Hulu will now be removed at each month from your balance as long as their is cash in their still. You can not use an Aus credit card with iTunes either so make sure your account is topped up with enough to keep your subscription active.

Method 2 using buyfrompowerseller: just head to this link and choose the value of Hulu plus subscription you want. Ie. $25 of Hulu is 3 months of Hulu. They will charge you a fee on top of this value as they provide you with a special us prepaid card that will allow you to sign up to Hulu plus. Follow the instructions they email you to sign up, very easy,

2. Once you've setup Hulu using that method you can then keep your account topped up by just buying prepaid Hulu cards from this link and adding them to your account jere: buyfrompowerseller is the cheapest as they don't include the special prepaid card to activate your account.

3. If you let your Hulu account expire using that method you will have to repurchase one of the initial gift cards to activate your account again.
