its officially announced that Alcatraz will be released on blu ray that was a huge deal to me considering 1st its a fox channel canceled tv show 2nd canceled tv shows dont even get a dvd release so this made my day i would be more than happy to know your thoughts about weather you are happy or is it just an ok news ps : it comes with a UV Digital Copy Warner Bros. | 2012 | 572 min | Rated TV-14 | Oct 16, 2012 (4 Months)

I was a big fan of the show and was saddened and mad that it got cancelled. Glad its getting the Blu treatment, but how can they call it "The Complete Series" when it left us with a huge cliffhanger and questions unanswered? I will definitely won't be buying it when it come out.

To be honest when I read the announcement earlier today I was shocked that a one-and-out TV series was getting the Blu-Ray treatment!

Although I didn't have much interested in the show beyond the initial premise, I'm tempted to purchase the blu just to encourage Warner Brothers to keep it up

i do agree with you as much as i like the show there are more tv shows that needs a blu ray treat such as the set com new girl , raising hope , maybe a nip tuck complete series box set i am so happy that 2 broke girls is getting a blu ray release

I thought this show was great. I'll definitely pick it up even though it was cancelled way too prematurely

I have a feeling that it will be able to be had at a decent price though.... Considering it's cancellation and it's short first season

did you notice that this year they had so many canceled shows on blu ray and dvd they have gcb the river out on dvd although there canceled and today we have this . i think this gives us hope that if next fall tv show revolution made by wb gets canceled it will get a bd release

Missing was also canceled but got a DVD release this week.

yeah i really don't get this either and we still haven't gotten an official release for Nikita season 2 on bluray only the date from amazon and some other places but warner has still not come out and said what extras will be on and how the cover is and disc specs and such. And now we get this show that is dead. Man this is freaking weird

My favorite has to be Awake. I think it was too high concept to catch on with the mainstream but it was one heck of an intriguing show.

nikita is my fav show that aired on the cw plus one of my few re watchable action packed tv shows unlike the vamp diaries it did not have grain and was so clear for me its a day 1 and i want to know if wb will release it as they are doing latley withh dvds and digital copies

Me to what the hell is taking Warner so long and its coming out in August and we still haven't gotten a cover or extras for the set yet now they even announce cancelled shows before a show that is still on the air. Beyond weird

If they had filmed some sort of epilogue movie or something to try and tie everything up, I might actually bite. But with that cliffhanger of ending, I can't really see myself getting this to relive that over and over again...

I liked "The Cape", and wish they would have wrapped up some loose story lines before it got the heave-ho.

Lots of cancelled TV shows get released on disc. And they all say, "The Complete Series," because... what else would you call it?

I liked what I saw of this. I don't know if I'd like to see the whole series if it ends on a big cliffhanger.
