Default walmart secret hd-dvd sale

this may be old news, but I used the search function and did not find it, also I would of posted sooner but my ether net cable was broke and this is the first chance I have had to post this.

Anyway, I come to work yesterday, 11/2/07, at wal-mart, and get thrown into this secret sale. It consisted of a Toshiba hd-dvd player for a whopping $98, no that is not a typo, $98, as well as some hd-dvds on sale for $14 dollars a peice. I don't know how this one slipped past my radar...

So of course as I am ringing people up for this crap, I just keep going off on how they are wasting their money buying dead technology and the whole works...of course all the people in line are speechless as I am ranting about what a terrible purchase they are making (I hadn't even had my first cup of coffee yet) Unfortunatly I wasn't able to make any of them put back their purchases. On the bright side, there were only about six sold when the sale started and I ony noticed two more leave after that and when I got off at five there was still three quarters of the pallet left. I forgot to take pictures before I left becuase the day was crazy (for other reasons) and I was in hurry to get out of there.

I think what most of us are most curious about is how many DUD *disks* actually got sold? Otherwise, it's simply a total loss for those financially involved.

Careful man, I can appreciate that you want to brighten these consumers up, but can't you get in trouble if someone complains because you were going off on their purchase?

Well we only had in about 8 copies of the hd-dvds that were actually on sale and three of them were still there when I left. I did see one guy make a signifant purchase of HD-dvd's though, he had a stack of about 10 of them...other than that the hd-dvd section didn't look much emptier than normal.

I just noticed they had one of those endcap cardboard displays full of DUD. So now they have more DUD than Blu... They just refuse to go away!

Yes. I bought both. And Windtalkers. Amazon matched the Night at the Museum price, last time I looked. Not X-3 though.
