hey guys. i'm having some trouble figuring out how to count bars in a song for an assignment. was hoping someone on here could give me some insight.
I have to write a review of a Jazz cd and part of it has to be where we break down the song and describe what we hear going on. so as an example....I picked "The Mooche" by Duke Ellington. I have to break down when the entire group is playing and for how many bars. then I have to state which instrument is playing a solo, and for how many bars. I haven't had any luck finding anything online that explains it in way that I can understand it. thanks for any help that anyone can offer. |
