Has anybody heard about the Moondance International Film Festival? Has anybody ever attended it?
I recently found out that this Film Festival, which made its premiere in 2000, is relocating from Boulder, Colorado to Mystic, Connecticut. I live on the Rhode Island / Connecticut border so I'm thinking about attending it this September. I browsed through the 2012 award winners on their official website (http://www.moondancefilmfestival.com) and none of the films sounded familiar to me at all. I'm sure most people haven't even heard of them either. Anyway, this festival seems a little low budget to me, but they have such actors as Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) and Linda Vilhjálmsdóttir (Game Of Thrones) attending this year. Here's an overview of the festival, as well as past winners: http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0001086/overview I think I'll check it out, but like I stated, I'm not quite sure how this will turn out. It's definitely no Sundance. Last edited by Scottie; 07-16-2013 at 02:24 AM. |
