Harry Potter 1-6 New Canadian Releases

Looks like WB has another wave coming to Canada, Harry Potter 1-6 just showed up on Amazon.ca today for a release date of July 23rd. They currently are $22.99 each. No art yet.

Note: All say bilingual on the title but WB has never printed an actual bilingual Steel. The card with info on the back is likely bilingual but not the actual Steel.

Wondering about these. Will they just be wide releases of the Steelbooks Future Shop has had for a while now (which I'm not a fan of) or will they feature new artwork?

Philosopher's Stone and Prisoner of Azkaban artwork up, confirmed re-releases of the former FS Exclusives.

I guess good for those wanting to order them from outside of Canada.

Sad part is you could get the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection (when it's been on limited time sale) for the same price as it would take to buy and ship these from Canada. $22.99 is pretty steep considering there are 8 of these.

Great... I was missing the last 2 because for some reason dumb people bought the last 2 in Steelbook (which end up sold out) but not the previous ones which were still aplenty. I never thought WB would re-release them so I bought the last 2 in plastic cases.

As others have said, they likely didn't print more of these. There were hundreds of these sitting in FS stores worldwide. They have since recalled them and are redistributing them to all stores (including back into FS, albeit in lower quantities).

If they had re-printed the last 2 than I may have considered purchasing these. The main reason I didn't get the first 6 at the discounted FS price is because I knew the last 2 would cost several times more than I was saving on the rest.

Still not getting this wave without the last 2 re-printed.

My 'source' tells me that these are in fact new re-prints, not leftover stock. And it looks like we probably will see 7 and 8 based on this new listing:

Maybe, just maybe, people just bought them when they were released and when these new releases came out on SteelBook, they were sold out instantly. As opposed to the first six which came out as re-releases and did not sell as quickly.

But newbie SteelBook collectors can stick with their 'dumb people' theory if they like.

Yeah, they're reprints. I'm getting the last 2 titles I didn't got and sell the plastic case ones on eBay to people who don't care about Steelbooks.

I was just curious about checking prices on these, but I can't get to the Order Total screen. I've ordered stuff from Amazon.ca before and can get past my address on other in-stock and pre-order items. But if I try to select one of these HP Steels, it tells me they can't be shipped to me and wants me to pick another address. Anyone have a clue what's going on with that?

I just tried it and got the same messages. Surely this is a mistake by Amazon.ca unless they've changed their policy not to allow international preorders which is absurd to say the least.

But I tried to checkout with Star Trek into Darkness and it worked, so it's not all preorders
