Default What are the best fighting games on the ps3?

I'm not the biggest fighting fan, but slowly I'm getting into it!

personally, I think that the latest Mortal Kombat is one of the best games (overall) this gen! other than that I've only played Tekken Revolution and a 60-minutes trial of Personal 4 Arena and they're good as well (Tekken more)

oh and I played Ps All starts: Battle Royale.. not my type of fighter

too bad Tekken 3 and Dead or Alive aren't on psn, I used to love these on the PsOne

If you make a Japanese PSN account, you can play Dead Or Alive 1. It's been on there for ages.

But there's many other fighting games, like other Tekken games including the 2 Tag Touranment games, Dead Or Alive 5, Soul Calibur, Arcana Heart 3, Skullgirls and others as well which I enjoyed.

Any game that keeps you away from your girlfriend/wife for several hours everyday. That game will cause a lot of fighting!

I second that. I suck at MK but bought Injustice anyway.

Dead or Alive 5 would be my second choice. I bought Personal 4 Arena & the animation is very nice but I found the game (story mode) a little too easy.

There are a ton of others I can't think of right now.. (Too many PS+ freebies)

Another vote for Mortal Kombat (2011). it finally returned to what gamers wanted, the 2.5D look, and runs at 60fps full HD. And we get Kratos thrown in for good measure as well!

I think Persona 4 Arena's Score Attack mode makes up for how easy Story Mode is. Though you can always up the difficulty level for Story Mode. I was kind of iffy about it being a Fighting game since I was a big fan of the JRPG on PS2(and now PS Vita), but it somehow worked well as a good sequel with being a totally different genre. I enjoyed the Store Mode, and hope there is a Persona 4 Arena 2 because of how the story ends.

Personally always been a big fan of Street Fighter and Tekken Games. Pure arcade fun from Street Fighter whilst Tekken can be a bit more 'tactical' due to slower pacing, variation of moves etc. but nothing in comparison to say Virtua Fighter 5.

Dead or Alive I've not played, but the hot blooded male in me says that i'll enjoy a couple of wobbly matches

Well Dead Or Alive 5 isn't real "wobbly", but the girls still look very nice though as expected.

lmao, I remember reading about that option in a previous instalment where if you kept raising the age, the 'bewbies' got bigger

It typically sums up the Japanese obsession with such female exaggerated anatomies and dragon(s?) crown, just took it to an whole other level

I think most if not all of the Itagaki DOA games(the original Creator for the series), had that age thing. The higher the age, the bouncier the girls get. But he's no longer with Team Ninja or Tecmo, so some things changed about the series since then while trying to keep a similar atmosphere about the series.

But I think DOA girls boobs are about normal size. Maybe slightly bigger.

Oh and Dragon's Crown does not win the biggest boobs in a videogame award.

Look, i'm a chest man and I love an ample bosom, but these typically Japanese inspired anime variants etc. just take it to ridiculous proportions at times. In fact, i'm actually interested to see which country holds the title for that part I bolded. If not Japan, i'm going to put a 'Son I am disappointed' pic up lol

Yes it is Japan, so don't worry. Though I will say Korea does win 2nd place.
