Question Bedroom setup help! *SOLVED!!*

I need help / advice from the blu-ray gurus

This is my current setup in my bedroom. As you can see I briefly did wire management with the cover on top of the main wires but I don't like the rest of them because I have never been able to find a strip that suited my needs. I only need a 3 prong outlet and it needs to be small / compact.

My thought process was to get a smaller 3 prong outlet and just put it on the shelf (like it is now) and then I would just put a cover over the wire that goes from the power outlet. The problem is I haven't really found anything worthwhile that would be effective without it being just as bulky/ long as what I have now.

The other problem is the PVR I have is just a bit too long because all the wires behind it are taking the spot so it's hanging off the shelf. I was curious if a small "riser" of some sort would help with that so that the cables weren't directly behind it but maybe underneath. The main issue is the power cable is a 2 small prong (like laptop battery) and it's not very flexible at the end so I'm not sure how much that would help. I have purchased HDMI 360 swivel so I should be able to re-position the HDMI no problem.

I'm guessing the best solution would be to drill two holes and have the power surge on the other side of the wall? (it's my closet so wouldn't be seen) If I did that though, how big would I have to make the hole considering I would have to pass quite a few wires thru it and want to obviously minimize the amount of holes to drill.

As always, all of this makes sense in my head but not sure it makes sense in writing. If anything is not clear or you need more info or precision please say so.

Thank you guys
